Privacy Policy
Effective October 27, 2026
This policy explains what information Double Dog Studios, LLC collects through the Bike Fast Fit apps (Bike Fast Fit EZ, Bike Fast Fit Elite and Bike Fast Fit Pro) and our website, bikefastfit.com. It covers why we collect that information, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Double Dog Studios, LLC.
In short
- Your fits, riders and videos stay on your device and in your own iCloud account. We can't see them there.
- If you turn on Data Sharing, the app sends us your fit sessions so we can improve bike fitting and our apps. Starting with EZ 2.14.1, Elite 3.12.1 and Pro 2.12.1, we never receive names, contact details or profile photos.
- Every app also sends us basic information about how it's used, about your device and about your purchases.
- We don't sell your information or use it for advertising.
- You can stop sharing at any time, and you can ask us to delete what you've shared.
What stays with you
Everything you create in the apps, including riders, sessions, measurements and videos, is stored on your device. If you use iCloud, it's also stored in your own private iCloud account, under Apple's privacy policy. Only you can see it there. We can't.
Data Sharing (your choice)
The apps ask whether you want to share your fit data with us. Nothing in this section is sent until you say yes, and nothing is sent if you say no. When you say yes, the app also sends the sessions you recorded before you answered (and, in Pro, the riders and bikes you added before).
What we receive when Data Sharing is on:
- your fit sessions: measurements, angles, the goal and reason for the fit as you enter it, titles, notes and comments, bike details, names and photos, the custom fields you add, and session settings. Everything you type into these is sent as you typed it, so please keep riders' names out of it;
- the session's videos, still images taken from them and the body positions the app tracks in each frame. Videos and images may show the rider;
- basic rider facts, such as birth year, gender, height, weight, flexibility and riding experience;
- the time zone set on your device.
What we don't receive. Starting with EZ 2.14.1, Elite 3.12.1 and Pro 2.12.1, we never receive names, contact details (email address, phone number, postal address or WhatsApp), profile photos, medical notes, or the names of files you import.
Earlier versions sent more. Before those versions, Data Sharing also sent each rider's name, full birthday, contact details and profile photo, and medical notes. We've removed names, full birthdays, contact details and profile photos from our copy of this data, and locked the medical notes away, unused. If you still use an earlier version, it keeps sending these details until you update. We keep them out of our database, and we're removing them from the iCloud storage where they first arrive, including any that an earlier version still sends.
We receive a copy as it was when it was first shared. Changes you make to a rider, session or video afterward aren't sent to us.
Your sessions stay linked, but not to your name. Each shared record carries random identifiers that Apple's systems create for your iCloud account in our apps and for your device. They don't tell us who you are, but they let us see which sessions belong together.
If you fit other riders, the sessions you share are about them. Please let them know.
How we use it. We use it to improve bike fitting and our apps, including research into how fit changes affect riders. If you contact us for help, we may also look at your shared sessions so we can answer you.
How to stop. In the app, tap More (···), then Support, then Data Sharing, and choose Do not use my data. The app stops sending new sessions. This doesn't delete what you've already shared. To remove that, ask us (see "Your choices and rights").
What every app sends
Whether or not you use Data Sharing, each app sends us:
- How the app is used. For example: when it opens and closes, which features and help topics you use, the results and quality of recordings, exports and imports, and errors. Each event includes your device model and iOS version.
- Your device: its model, its iOS version and which of our apps it has.
- Your purchases: what you bought or subscribed to, the dates, any trial, refund or expiry, and your device's region and language settings.
- Your Data Sharing choice, with your device model, iOS version and how many sessions and videos you have, so we have a record of it.
These records also carry the random account and device identifiers described above. We use them to understand how the apps are used, fix problems, support you and keep our business records. Earlier versions of Pro and Elite also sent the business details entered in Pro Info (name, address, phone, website and email), and earlier versions of each app sent the names of files you import.
Apple handles all payments, and we never see your card details. Apple tells us about purchases, renewals and refunds. It also sends us summary crash reports and sales figures, and the ratings and reviews you post publicly on the App Store.
When you contact us
If you email us, use the app's Feedback option or fill in the form on our website, we receive what you send: your name, email address, message and anything you attach.
- Feedback from the app attaches a small file with the date, your app version and subscription, your device model and iOS version, your Data Sharing choice, your session counts and the random account and device identifiers. That lets us find your data if you ask.
- The website form also records your approximate location (country and region), your browser type and your language. To block spam, Cloudflare Turnstile checks your connection, which shares your IP address with Cloudflare.
We use AI tools from service providers to help us read, summarize and answer support messages. We keep messages so we know your history when you write again.
Our website
bikefastfit.com sets no cookies and has no advertising trackers. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page visits. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't identify you.
Who else handles your information
We don't sell your information, share it for advertising or use it to market to you. Service providers handle information for us, only to run our apps and services:
- Apple: iCloud, CloudKit and the App Store;
- Cloudflare: our website, analytics, spam checks and app servers;
- IONOS and Google: email;
- Resend: website form notifications;
- AI providers, including Anthropic: help with support messages.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
Where your information is kept
We're based in the United States, and we and our service providers store information there. If you're outside the US, your information is transferred to the US.
How long we keep it
- Shared fit data: as long as it's useful for improving bike fitting, or until you ask us to delete it.
- Usage, device and purchase records: as long as they help us run and improve our apps. We keep purchase records as long as we need them for our accounts and taxes.
- Support messages: as long as they help us support you, or until you ask us to delete them.
- Backups and logs: something we delete can stay in them until they're replaced.
Your choices and rights
- Stop sharing: in the app, tap More (···), then Support, then Data Sharing, and choose Do not use my data.
- Delete what you've shared: send us a message with the app's Feedback option and ask. We'll delete your shared sessions, videos and records within 30 days, and tell you when it's done.
- Get a copy, or correct it: ask us for a copy of the shared data linked to your app, or to correct it.
Depending on where you live (for example, in the European Union, the United Kingdom or California), you may have more rights. Contact us to use them. We won't treat you differently for doing so.
If you're in the European Union or the United Kingdom, we rely on:
- your consent for Data Sharing, which you can withdraw at any time;
- our contract with you for purchases and support;
- our legitimate interest in running, securing and improving our apps, for the usage and device records.
You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Our apps are meant for adults, and our Terms require users to be 18 or older. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Security
We limit who can read the information we hold. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't promise that information will never be accessed without permission.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects what we collect, we'll tell you in the app before it applies.
